About The Author
Nicole Martin-Myers is a children’s author who writes folklore-inspired stories and faith-based books for young readers. Her work centers on imagination, nature, and meaningful lessons that families can explore together.She is the creator of The Quilt of the Earth Series, a collection of stories following the friendship between Moon and Buffalo as they discover the wonders of the world. Inspired by the folklore she loved sharing with her children and from her Cherokee heritage, the series celebrates storytelling traditions, friendship, and the beauty of nature. The series also includes The Quilt of the Earth Christmas Coloring Book, featuring characters from the story.In addition to her storytelling work, Nicole is developing a full year collection of children’s Bible studies, Growing in Grace Series, that introduce Christian faith through simple lessons, thoughtful activities, and the familiar Quilt of the Earth characters designed to fit naturally into family life and homeschooling rhythms.Nicole’s writing is shaped by her life as a homeschooling mother and homesteader. She enjoys the simple things in life like cooking from scratch, caring for animals, writing stories, and learning alongside her children. She lives in the Heart of the Ozarks in Missouri with her husband and four children, where they homeschool and tend a lively homestead.

Ema Tepić is the illustrator behind
The Quilt of the Earth series.Nicole discovered Ema through Fiverr back in 2021 while searching for an illustrator. What began as a simple collaboration quickly grew into a meaningful,
creative partnership.Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ema originally studied architecture before choosing to follow her passion for art. What began as a leap of faith soon became a calling, leading her into the world of children’s book illustration.The Quilt of the Earth was one of her very first projects, and it remains especially close to her heart. Her work is known for its warmth, imagination, and emotional depth, bringing each character and moment to life with care and intention.As Ema once said, “We were a dream team…”
